ADL operates an integrated suite of microbiological and physical test laboratories including a specially built containment area for handling air-dispersed microorganisms.  The company has three custom-designed units to enable the production and deployment of  air-dispersed particulates for barrier testing and for the performance of investigational studies to address specific customer needs.  It has specialised flow equipment for control and measurement of ‘low’ air flows; it also has commercial and custom-designed equipment for structural analysis of porous materials.

Personnel of Air Dispersions Limited have specialised, over many years, in the microbiology underlying the process of radiation sterilization.  Their work underpins the ‘dose-setting’ methods embodied in Annex B of ISO 11137.  ADL has the expertise and capacity to undertake microbiological qualification that forms part of requirements for the validation and routine control of radiation sterilization processing as specified in EN 552 and ISO 11137.
